MTN wanna rob me, contract ending

my contract ends on 9 January 2013 and its a top up. it credit with R200 on the 21st of every month. in November I paid for October, in December I paid for November, in January I will pay for December. I was last credited on 21 December 2012 and won't be credited in January as I will cancel the contract on the 8. but MTN wants me to pay R300 for January on February. I don't get it.

Did you give one month's notice, if not that's probably why you have to pay the R300.

on the 1st but it varies sometimes on the 4th

Thought as much. Your debit order for 1 Feb will actually be for the bill created on December 20. Don't forget to call and tell them to change your number to prepaid if you want the number.

I see you on debit order - MTN debits run 2 month in arrears so you a month off on your calculations, the debit that went off in december was for October, the Debit in January will be for November, the R300 in Feb will then be for december and im guessing the pro ratat or something for the portion of January

Your last invoice will on the 08/1/2013(pro-rata from 22/12/2012 to 08/01/2013 if you already put in a notice of cancellation) which will be paid at the end of January 2013.
