While checking on my own complaint I came accross the following complaint and reply on hellopeter.com :-)

THE INCIDENT

I logged a call here a long time ago and now we all receive the STANDARD reply apologising about the dealy but nothing happens yet. What is the problem?? I get the feeling you don't even read the mails and just copy and paste the reply. By when will you sort all the issues?

Yep - they've been doing that for over a month now - hellopeter don't seem to care either... there are quite a few complaints under hellopeter about them aswell.

I saw this one earlier:

Hi Shelley
You keep telling us that MTN is really working on their problem of the huge back log. What do they have that other companies don't? They are just not doing anything about it. Not one single complaint has been responded to. If you work on a back log a few would have been completed. Please put them under companies who don't. Perhaps you shouldn't listen to their excuses until they begin to do something about it. I see that they have a lot of complaints daily so if they don't begin they will never catch up. What is the reason they give you for the huge back log?

Hello wonder

Let's give them 24 hours and see what happens. Regards, Shelley
Did anything happen?

Doesn't look like it - I suppose hellopeter don't want to loose an income stream...

And another one:
THE INCIDENT
I was wondering if you could explain why MTN is still registered as a company that responds to customer complaints. I thought I was the only one who has found that their "response" amounts to nothing more than a written reply stating that they are investigating the matter & will get back... but then never do! But it seems other people have had similar excperiences if the stories on your website are anything to go by.

Could it be because they are paying a "fat" subscription fee every month?

Hello hadenuff

I'm sorry, I can't answer on behalf of MTN and can't explain why they haven't got back to you, but will forward a copy of this comment to them right away. Regards, Shelley.

Strange thing is, when hellopeter was smaller, they actually used to care about customer service, and would have moved MTN - but now its about money.

Here's proof they aren't even reading the messages:
THE INCIDENT

After my shocking service at the "service centre" I called MTN retentions and spoke to Thulani. I would like MTN to know the only reason I have not moved to Vodacom is this man. It was like doing business with another company!!!! He took my details and what I wanted and confirmed stock in seconds. I had the documents in 10 min and received a mail to confirm all had been done. I think you would do well to send Thulani to Durban to give the sad bunch of "just doing my job" lot there a *** good lesson in HOW TO CUSTOMER SERVICE SHOULD LOOK.

Thulani, you are a star and I hope your employer takes note and values your input.

Well done !!!!!!!!!
