MTN: Where art Thou???????

With Neotel, VC, CellC and Telkom dropping data rates, looks like MTN is lost in outer space!

Will we ever see a drop from MTN? Looks like I must port now. Waited long enough.:erm:

But yeah, been with MTN with 10 years now, becos of coverage while reliability has dropped considerably recently, but still payin R2 per mb.
I will be porting in exactly 45 days.

MTN has not been at the forefront (data or telephony wise and especially on contracts) of anything for a long time. They seem to just be happy where they are and every now and then they play catch up with the rest of the pack.

To be fair Vodacom have not done too much innovative either, however they have been a bit more pro-active and launched some interesting deals, but again, mostly playing catch up.

The two big boys are comfortable riding on their large customer base.

I doubt we will see anything big from them in the short term.

Go to CellC. Reward them for trailblazing these lower data prices

Been with MTN more than 10 yrs too, and will be leaving end of month. CellC prepaid, with the R50 deal (50sms, 500MB, 50min)
