MTN's plans for 2020

MTN is one of the biggest mobile operators in South Africa, and it has focused heavily on building out its network to become the best in the country.

2019 has been a great year for the company, but it has big plans for the next year, including the rollout of new, personalised bundles, continued network expansion, and the integration of cutting-edge technology.

I on the other hand hope I can stream VR in 4K over 5G so I can pay OOB data rates, one can only wish.

Now I am convinced that MTN pays a substantial amount of money to Mybroadband for publicity.

MTN this, MTN that for no apparent reason, what was this publicity stunt for?

Like any building or house needs a foundation so too does a network....all I heard MTN talk about is the roof. PS get your network in order first before you talk about IOT and AI. The speed at which data moves between a pc and a controlled device is imperative. Talk about how you plan to roll out 5G which will help IOT and AI... real knobs same basket as Telkom and Vodacom

When they IMPLEMENT half-decent customer focus, I may churn back to them. Switching from MTN contract to Cell C pay as you go + Rain data (on a 2-SIM phone) was best thing for me since FTTH

All of the buzzwords again. Don't see affordable data anywhere. A webpage can easily be 10MB. It's not unusual for 100MB of assets to be preloaded. It's now become standard for sites to show video by default. And here we are in 2020 with MTN and Vodacom still thinking ito paying per MB.

Interestingly there's no mention of MTN reducing their ridiculously high data prices in 2020. They charge us 5 times more for a gig of data than in Mozambique (a neighboring country).
