I picked up a MTN data contract 20GB which included the above mentioned personal wifi device (mifi) which claims DL speeds of up to 150 MBPS. Been using the device for a month and on doing a few speed tests I have found it peaked at 35mbps which is decent but no where near the speed I get from my phone. I took a test from my phone and pc connected to the mifi router simultaneously and I got 73mbps from my phone and 5mbps on the mifi. I swapped the sims between the devices and I got the same sort of results. Huge variance in the speeds with the mifi device pushing out much less.
Does anyone know how to tweak these devices to get more out of them?
