I see they updated it yesterday to v2.0 on IOS, but messed it up.

if you are using a non-MTN APN (ie Axxess) it doesn't work. Just crashes and you get place holders everywhere for balance and account details. It only works if you using MTN. If you are on wifi, also issues, it just keeps trying to authorize the app.

The previous version worked flawless, unfortunately Apple does not allow you to roll back.

DrData, please get the guys to fix this app.

Yup saw this too.. sucks :( they should get a better mobile dev team. Bleh..

I haven't gotten passed the login screen with the new app after my 1st attempt via wifi. Now it just gives a notice when I click on login

I did, on cellular it still doesn't work when using Axxess APN. It comes up with a message that it sent an error log to MTN.

On wifi it seems to work, with the Axxess APN setting.

It seems that Axxess APN is broken for me (in Durban) at the moment, as I get LTE but nothing seems to be going through. So the error I'm seeing might be related to that.

Tested it now, as axxess seems up.

On cellular
mymtn = everything works fine
axxess apn = I get an error message "An error was encountered while trying to log you in. This has been reported etc..."

If I turn on wifi (and keep the axxess apn) it works. The app just keeps asking for authorization all the time when I open it, but I get my balances and stuff.

So it seems that using a 3rd party APN that still doesn't work.

Hi

Did it work with a 3rd party APN configured on the device previously in the older version?

Also when using wifi, which APN was the wifi connected to?

Hi
With the older app (the last version of 1.x before the current 2.x update) it worked fine with the 3rd party APN (Afrihost and Axxess as I used both).

The wifi was connected to a FTTB line, so no cellphone connection. The only APN I mentioned was the one that was configured on my phone (Axxess) incase the MTN app used it for anything. With the wifi connection I get all the prompts to allow the app access to the MTN Service, and then it shows me the balances. It asks for authorisation on every app launch on wifi, but at least I have some way to see my balances.

Thank you.

Seems the 2.02 version tonight fixed the issue I was having. Works great on axxess apn on cellular or WiFi
