MTU setting on ADSL

What should the MTU setting for ADSL be? Does it make a real difference if you change it? My current setting is 1500.

mtu for adsl should be 1496

If you want to get the most juice from your connection, download CableNut and use one of the preset files. A few small adjustments and browsing is much nippier.. not that 384/512/1024 is fast but you know what i mean
