MTU Settings

I just got my Xbox and tried to connect it to live but it fails the MTU every time. I plug it directly into my router, and have been looking around in the router settings but cant find it there.

Check the 360 faq on this site but the short of it is: the firewall!
Disable the firewall and it should work.

Download the manual at the bottom of the page, go to page 48, it shows you how to change the MTU setting

Edit: check pages 44, 47, 48, 50, 52

My MTU is set 1492, should that not be enuf.

heh heh, yeah, that could be a bit of a problem

I've had MTU hiccups before. If it does come back, just fiddle with the numbers, up and down and you'll find one that works.

You won't need to change your MTU if it's 1492. Strange that the Xbox picks that up as the problem.
