Anyone here mixes their own muesli and if so, would you care to share the secret recipe with us?

Thanks.

I tried once, but couldnt get mine to taste anything as good as the one I buy - Country Source I think it is.

Muesli and Yoghurt is my staple dessert and breakfast...

The moosli in the jungle oats bars are good, but I wont waste time trying to make it... tastes like flavoured cardboard.

I don't mix my own from scratch, but I add bits to a basic muesli.

I think my ideal recipe would be something like:
* plain rolled oats (Jungle Oats, say)
* some other rolled oats - whatever they do to the oats in Jungle mueslis - coated in syrup/sugar and possibly toasted (Jungle Granola, say)
* raisins ... lots of raisins
* flaked almonds
* cashew nuts (not salted obviously!)
* and then a selection of: sunflower seeds, pistachio nuts (yum ... eating some right now), other seeds/nuts as available.

Absolutely no coconut (hate it) and no wheat flakes (Weet-Bix is good, but wheat spoils a muesli).

I like normal (bought) muesli with loads of Cake mix on it. (Kinda like raisins but with citrus etc)

mmm muesli and yogurt mmm

Theres a carribean crunch that goes very well with a strawberry yogurt - tastes just like an island.. mmmm
dirt and sand flavour? :eek:
