I am a bit bored and want to develop a Multi Vendor site, almost something like DHgate. is this something someone will actually use? I feel like making it anyway just for the heck of it, but would be more awesome if people would want to use it. What do you think?

So you want to start something just because you're bored?

My advice would be to really plan for it and have a aim for the website, whats the point of just starting it with no direction?

For example. Become an affiliate to some site and make a nice commission (you can use google for that) , secondly you could buy products and sell online which means you keep the stock (but again you need to have a plan in place, find the right suppliers , look at prices etc ) . Thirdly dropshipping which would be my pick from the examples i have given. As you don't keep the stock.

It would be waste of time to just start something without some sort of action or goal in place.

All those things you mentioned, did and still do most of them. I normally toy around with ideas like these before it becomes a actual portal for sales of products or other. I suppose what I should have asked is if people would like to use a site like that? If there is interest I can make it and put effort into it, otherwise It will just be for the fun of it.

I understand, well why not try it out?

hell if i find a site that offers a product cheaper or better shipping/delivery times then i'm going to purchase, also SA isn't to big with the online buying which is a pity however there is still money to be made.

Goodluck!

I have two phones I ordered from geekbuying, now that you mention cheap shipping. But now I am not so sure I made the right decision, not sure if a person can trust them. Luckily I paid through PayPal.
