Hi,
So I posted this to Hanno, MyBB editor on DSTV stuff, but he hasn't responded.
Been following the various news articles on Multichoice and DSTV, and their woeful demise. I thought this might be a worthwhile opportunity to confront them, however not sure if you have raised this previously, or, if the topic has been properly answered by the morons at Multichoice.
I'm an EX-subscriber. I was, for over 15 years, but, having found sufficient alternative sources, I was happy to finally pull the plug in them, especially with their recent, single stream only bull....
I'm also a "commercial" subscriber, and, I'd LOVE to hear their rubbish excuses, or arguements to this.
Why do they "claim" to NOT be able to provide subscribers, or customers, a "pay-per-channel" model, but yet they can and do provide this to "commercial" account holders?
eg: The Company that work for, or, any other commercial\retail environment, requests, and pays for the channels they want to see, only.. eg: if we ONLY want to see Sky News, CNN, and sport channel 205, 215, as an example, I can simply email them and they can enable\disable channels on a per-channel option. !
So, them responding to I'm sure, thousands of consumers that have asked, why can't I just pay for 5 or 10 or all the sport channels, and nothing else, and they consistently respond by saying this isn't possible, is garbage! I'm bloody certain the subscribers leaving them in droves because of their stupid bouquet\Premium\whatever group they offer, many of them would stay, or re-sign up for the specific sports channels, and gladly pay for such services?
Anyone else here have input on this, or why they feel it better to chase away paying customers vs offering them a better sporting solution.
regards
Al
