MultiChoice pushing for ISPs to block illegal streaming

Shame,. DSTV trying to remain relevant in a country that hates it with every fiber of its being. The sooner DSTV goes out of business the better. Fighting this cause it all it has left and its loosing that battle very quickly. If a person is using a VPN the ISP has zero control and zero legal grounds to restrict the user.

DENUVO isn't all that "secure", sure it some times takes weeks and some times 175 days for the longest game to receive a patch. Half of the games with it has been patched, good portion entirely removed it post launch due to performance issues with the games, slow loading times ect. All it does is improve initial sales. It costs 140K pounds for the first 12 months, 125 for the next and then 2000 each month after that.

Wouldn't want to play 99% of the games on the list with or without it.

Eventually developers are going to stop using it and the proverbial goose is going to stop laying golden eggs, and hopefully stop another revenue stream for them. At the rate AAA games are falling from grace, increase in budgets and costs it wouldn't surprise me if developers look for cheaper alternatives or make their own.

Eventually DENUVO will become entirely obsolete and fall from grace, like all other copy protections before it, is irdeto going to start moaning about that on MYBB as well.

Luckily we aren't the only country monochoice is indirectly annoying and alienating with their "best" practices.... ...

Mweb is like Telkom. That mom and pop (more like gran and gramps) ISP that people are too ignorant to know any better.
 
All the laws and regulations are useless if you cannot properly police them. Think RICA, FICA.

Technically it was part of Naspers as was Multichoice. They have a habit of clinging onto companies they run into the ground and getting rid of companies that later shows had good potential. They only struck it lucky once with Tencent.
