I have a server room with NAS devices connected to D-link Access points (DWL-2100Ap). these devices provide off site storage for CCTV recording for my clients, however, the antenna mast is starting to look like a jungle with a seperate antenna for each client. Can i connect multiple access points (each running on a seperate channel) to one antenna. The access points are frimware hacked to run at 500mw.

thanks, that was short and sweet. can u tell me why not.

Pretty much for the same reason you can't send a fax while you're busy talking on the phone.

I'm struggling a bit to understand your setup.

Can't you rather have 1 AP that services all your clients? What distance are the clients from the APs?

What does a 'client' consist of? I assume it's a PC connected to a wireless bridge. If that's the case, you could simply setup an account for each PC on a single NAS device.

How many APs are you running at the moment? Depending on where your client bridges are located, 3 APs with sector antennas might be better than one with an omni.

Also, why are you running at 500mW? That really shouldn't be necessary if your antenna setup is done correctly.
