Can you book a license test at X department then go book for a different date at license department Y? As in a backup plan if the first 1 falls through. Granted you may not need the 2nd and lose ~R300 but better than having to wait another 3 months.

Is this legal and will their system accept 2 books from the same person, at a different testing station on a different day?

Thanks!

It's good that it is illegal as it is also very selfish.

Everyone struggles to get a booking and everyone has to wait ages. It's pretty selfish to take another spot that someone could use for a "just incase" situation.

Don't know about legality, but its a good way to test out the eNatis database business rules !

The law does not worry about these small issues, but the eNaTIS booking specs was indeed approved by the authorities to prevent any person from getting another booking for the same driving licence code. A shortage of open slots does apparently exist (too few people is interested in being a driving licence examiner), thus it will be unfair to prevent another applicant from using the test slot.

Does anyone know if the call centre booking system in Gauteng is coming back? It was supposed to be under assessment, but haven't heard anything about it in the news anymore ...
