Morning,

Hope I'm posting in the right place. I've confirmed with WBS that u can have multiple modems linked to a single account, but was wondering if two connection can be made at the same time using the same account?

Tnx

Yip, it is possible.

I'm a reseller and I very often loan one of my modems out to test.

Both modems are linked to the same account and can be logged in at the same time and can be running off the same base station too.

I haven't checked to see if they accurately account for the bandwith usage of both modems though.

Hey there Vman...

Tnx for that info, much appreciated!!! I really wasn't sure if it would work.

Hope u have a banging Xmass!!

THIS IS A TEMPORARY SITUATION !!!!

I have been told repeatedly that this behaviour would be disabled "soon" ... so only 1 session active at a time ...

Watch out it you're using multiple units on 1 account ... could cost you a bit later when you need to purchase an account for each unit.

If that is true, ur very wise...*respect* Thanks for the head's up on that.

It's quite silly though, limiting the number of sessions per account. I mean -- we are paying per GIG right. Who cares over how many sessions that is spread?

I imagine they're worried about the potential traffic usage post-cap. Multiple sessions chugging along at 64kbps can add up if many ppl do it.

I believe WBS should allow at least 2 sessions (one for fixed - UTD & one for mobile -UTC). If they could figure out a way to rate limit both collectively to 64 Kbps there is no additional usage risk for them.
