Wonder if anyone has had experience of this.
I have a client who, she tells me, when she goes to right click and selects 'new folder', she gets a dozen or so new folders within. In other words, she sees 1 new folder. Inside, another new folder. Inside that, another new folder and so on. She has to click through a dozen times to the last one and that's the one that contains her stuff - that is, after having pasted it into what she sees as the topmost folder in the tree.
I haven't been able to replicate the error on her pc, and strongly suspect it's a PEBKAC. She has been working with a lot of stuff over a network (2 pc's) and also had a lot of I/O read write errors showing up in the system event log, but since I took out a bad 512 stick of memory leaving her with a gig it seems to be OK. Can this be a bad memory problem? Would like to know for future reference.
Thanks in advance.
