Hi,

Are you aware of any mainstream routers e.g. Netgear, Linksys or Billion that support multiple PPPoE connection on the ADSL router. If so what are the make and models, I have some issues finding that info on the next.

I know that you can put routers in bridged mode and setup the PC to do it, but I want the router to handle two ISP accounts and manage traffic to those accounts. 3G fall over and a USB port will be a plus.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

How do you want to use the 2 ISP accounts?

I think my brother said that he was able to enter 2 ISP accounts on his D-Link DSL-2750U, but he basically has no control over how the router uses it.

My suggestion is that you do what ShawnStar said and get a MikroTik router to manage the PPPoE connections and to get a cheap ADSL modem that supports bridge mode.

+1

My Siemens "router" could dial two accounts, by could do absolutely no routing. Get a Mikrotik and a cheap-ass router to use as a modem. Unfortunately, Mikrotik makes powerful routers, so expect a steep learning curve.

Hi There,
Mikrotik and a learning curve is probably the best solution. There are a number of support sites out there with helpful hints on using Mikrotik routers.

I have found that you can connect to a different ISP account than what your router is set too, by setting up a broadband connection and then entering your ISP details.

I connect at work likes this so that I can use my uncapped data, instead of the companies tiny monthly cap.

Open Network & Sharing Center -> "Setup up a new connection or network" -> "Connect to the internet" -> "Setup a new connection anyway" (PPPOE) -> enter your isp details.

That's NOT what he wants to do ... read the OP

Billion 7401VGP, 7404VGO Support multiple PPPoE,

Most of their current routers should support this feature.

Under Quick Start, Set Encapsulation to (via drop down menu): PPPoE With Pass-Through.
You can then simply use any ISP of your choice dialing from the pc while others use another ISP.
