Hi there,

I am wondering if any one can help, since 9 this morning i have had 14 session resets on my account. Does anyone know what could be the reason for this? Looking at my stats the worst i have had is 2 in a day for the last month, does this happen from Telkom's side or my ISP

Thanks

It can happen from either Telkom or your own router.
If your SNR and ATT values are normal and Telkom have assured you, which they always do regardless of the fault being evident or not, that there is no problem with your line, then i would look at your router possibly being the problem. Its not unusual, try resetting your router and reconfiguring it, see if that helps. Might be worth a try by testing with a different router.

Thanks surv0,

quick question what is considered normal SNR and ATT values?

Will also try another router.

depending on your line speed, but the higher the SNR and the lower the ATT the better.
SNR - nething about 10 should be ok
ATT - anything below 45 should be ok

paste them here if you are unsure...

Well i have had no more resets since 1 this afternoon, so am hoping its over now, below is my line details

Connection Speed 4096 kbps 384 kbps
Line Attenuation 34.5 db 20.0 db
Noise Margin 25.4 db 12.0 db

Check in your router status somewhere, all depends which router you are using..
telkom can also give you that information if you manage to get through to someone who knows what SNR and ATT are.... most of them dont have a clue..
