I have read that there is a multiple windows 7 home licences for sale? Basically buying 3 licences and only needing one disk for windows 7? Any truth to this? If so, where is it possible here in South Africa to actually buy this multiple licence package?

I think it's called a family package? Not sure.

AFAIK there is no family pack in South Africa.

I believe you can get that with the Home version of MS Office.

hey czc,

i dont want the home version of MS Office though. Really want to try and get my money's worth by buying the Windows 7 Home Family package. So if there is no such thing in South Africa, isn't there a way for me to buy this package outside SA? I just read an article now from http://www.brighthub.com/computing/windows-platform/articles/48583.aspx and as you can see its a huge difference than having to just buy 1 licence at a time? Maybe i should rather contact an outside retailer directly and see if i can't get it imported or something.

Will wait to see if anyone else has any suggestions for me and others who are looking to buy the same 3 licence family pack.

Office has 3 user license: Microsoft® Office 2007 Home & Student Edition Includes 3 Licenses: Word, Excel, PowerPoint & OneNote
Windows is single user for fullpack (FPP) or single PC, new pc only, for DSP. The FPP version can be move to a new machine but must be removed from the old machine; DSP is licensed to a machine so cannot be moved. The latter is mnotrmally installed by the machine builder.

after doing alot more research i found that there WAS definitely a windows 7 family package for sale but unfortunately it was only a promotion that only lasted afew weeks due to the usual "till stocks last" irritation. Now amazon does infact have it but is selling it at 3x the amount of the original price where as i found a south african site selling the package at a crazy price of about R5500?!

Guess i answered my own question... Best option seems to be to buy the 1 licence package for R1400... And here i thought dreams could come true.... Haha
