I remember growing up with radio and it was easy to find out what were the top music hits because they played them in a countdown. Springbok radio/radio 5 for example. Is there a radio station that does this in SA anymore? A website I can visit?

Something terrible happened to music after the 80's so I lost interest, but now I am curious to see if taste has changed for the better or worse.

The problem is the internet with dopy kids liking dopy songs and they rated highly because of that.

I love music and most of my playlists were stuff from "way back"
However spotify has helped introduce me to stuff I have never heard of and there is still good stuff out there, but you have to work harder to find it.
For me it is easier to find new house music that I like, for alternative stuff its a little more challenging, but not impossible. Rap, I hate almost everything out now days

YouTube the following: UK top 40. There is a playlist for just about every week, and the UK top 40 changes often.
Other than that, Google or ChatGPT is your friend :)
