I'm currently still within the trial version of simfy.co.za and so far i'm pretty impressed by the wide range of artists and genres they have in their portfolio (except for the opvious omissions such as the beatles, led zeppelin & co which so I've read are currently not on any streaming service :(). However before I am committing to the R25/R60pm, I want to know what your impressions are with the service, and how the alternatives (deezer.com, rara.com, etc) compare.

I like the fact that they offer a desktop app (albeit adobe air :\) and the simplicity of their site.

Unfortunately I also have some issues with the service, the biggest one is buffering even though I'm on a 2mbps uncapped account and when no other traffic is on the line. Would I have the same issues with the alternative services? This problem seems to go away when I'm using 3g however but not ideal for me due to cap...

Thanks

I started using Deezer 2 weeks ago, and havn't had much trouble with buffering. Only every now and then. Mweb 4mbps uncapped.

Before you commit to Simfy give the Deezer trial a go?

Also on trial with simfy now. I like it so far...

But

How do you delete songs that are downloaded for offline use on Android?

At what size (for average song) or quality do songs download for offline listening?

Time for an update: I'm about to cancel deezer. The buffering is driving me insane, although the blame probably lies at the feet of mweb.
