Finally got something so I can keep everything plugged in. Used but very happy with the condition. Spent a good half hour testing every in / out (except the inserts). Need more cables...

Nice, that is quite a big one, what are the built in effects like and it looks like it has a usb sound card built in?

Just make sure to keep it covered with some kind of dust cloth when not in use because those faders get very scratchy if you leave them exposed to all the dusty/gritty shite that blows around Cape Town.
If I don't dust something inside my house once a month it quickly gets a rather thick layer of dust on it and that same gunk will go all over the fader tracks if left exposed.

Edit. Holy smokes that mixer is around R12k new.

Yup. Went to fabric shop and got some material to cover all my gear with. Makes a huge difference.

Lot of people suggested just getting a digital mixer for the routing options but nee...I don't want to look at another screen and wait for devices to pair etc.

The reverb is useable. The plan is to eventually make an external fx unit which is why I wanted enough AUX outs and returns. Seems like common advice for new mixers is to get more channels than you need right away. This has got 3 AUX outs which is really nice so I can send individual channels audio out to looper and fx units. Also nice having the inserts on top like this - makes it feel more like a modular (Eurorack etc.) setup.

Was also looking at this Behringer - just because it's got a decent amount of routing options but I think the EQ is a bit more useable on the Allen Heath. Nice that both of them come with a sweepable mid.

Only thing I wish mixers this size has is a stereo aux (that functions like the other AUX channels that you can send to via the channel strip). Only thing I saw like that was on the Mackie 1402 VLZ4. Cool looking mixer and it has an ALT 3/4 out that you can toggle (which does mute the channel at the same time so it might've annoyed me eventually).
