Musicians' thread.

Nice indeed, if it's a good price, I'd go for it!

Thanks for the link. :)
And that's just the thing - price.
At a few years old and out of warranty, the seller is looking for R1250.
The M-Audio Fast Track can be had new for R1500.
I offered R700 for the gumtree advertised TonePort and the seller thought it a bit low.
Anyway, all good & well. I don't think that I'll be grabbing this right now, whichever piece of tech I go with - will hold up till January.

Yeah, when it comes to this stuff, getting new is always better, but I'd say about a grand for the Toneport is pretty good.

If you can knock him down to 700, TAKE IT IMMEDIATELY.

Agreed on all counts.
The ad was only placed a few hours ago. So will check back later if its still up.
R700 and then its definitely a risk I'd be willing to take.
At a grand, its kind of touch and go wrt to me worrying about an electrical fault that could occur & not being covered by a warranty.

My capo cost me 180. Was pretty shocked at the price but I was also desperate. Before that I was using a pen and elastic bands.

edit: Actually looking at mine on Amazon the price is pretty much the same.

Late reply but I got a very basic one for around R100 for electric guitar at a local music shop :/ works for me. Use it a lot.

All the places I've called are pricey - but I'll go and twist the guys at Marhall Music South's arm.
I wanna get some new strings as well and plectrums - so I'll get my discount :p
Thinking of trying out Martin & Co strings.

Haha - was actually talking to a mate about just going that route.
Back in the day - that's how we rolled.
But I don't wanna scratch or hurt the neck of my Cort.

Just listened to this...I'm jelly that you guys can make such awesome music

Well, if you dig it, I can assure you that it has taken both Nihilist and myself a lot of effort and time to be able to produce music that sounds good to people.

Thanks. :)
