I'm not familiar with Bring! Shopping List, but I use Google Keep for memos, notes, and all sorts of to-do lists and shopping lists. It's great and has fantastic Wear support.

Shazam is nice to have, it's easier to open it on your wrist than get your phone out if you just quickly want to recognise a song.

The xe.com Currency app makes it easy to check exchange rates if that's something you care about. If you're with discovery and not wearing another fitness tracker, the Jawbone UP app will count steps on your wear watch and they count towards your vitality active rewards goals.

.
Bring! is cool, you get to sync shopping lists with other people in your household it has google account integration and a pretty UI with pictures of food/grocery items etc.

I do have Shazam and Keep - still need to try it on wear. Any recommendation on a app that will alert me when my phone/watch disconnects from each other?

I think watch specific apps are.... not really the thing for wear... the watch is more a companion to the phone app... yes there are specific things, but I've never really find those useful.

ok. How does it compare with the LG G R that you had in terms of functionality and general use?

the google integration is obviously much better on the wear in terms of Google Now, but everything else on par if not better. The Samsung's screen just feels like so much high resolution, even that its not, as it doesn't adopt the whole "card"-design, which I've never been a fan off.

If you would ask me which I prefer, and if price wasn't a consideration, I would recommend the Samsung... but but but, with a big but, I mainly only use the watch for standard functions, like notifications, timers, health tracking, etc... The wear probably have a wider range of apps, of which I don't have a use at all. I mean, who wants to browse the net on your watch? :p

PS: My daughter is using my G Watch R now, I'll check later about the disconnect notification... I actually remember having something at one time that notifies and added some other functionality, but can't remember the name... I'll have a think though.

well, i have a Gear S2 classic now... so not sure...

The Gear S2 is a great watch, had mine since January. What I love most about the Gear S2 is making my own watch faces and sharing them with other users. Yes I know you can do the same on Android Wear, but I think Gear Watch Designer makes it much easier to make quality watch faces.

Have to be honest, haven't tried it... but there are some very powerful apps on the wear that I have played with, like Facer, which has a big community with some fantastic looking watch faces.

Have not played with watch faces on the Gear S2 classic yet. But will do at some point. Is the app you talking about a 3rd party app, or a samsung app?
