Must have games

Okay, awesome releases happening all over the place ATM...
1. Angry Birds Lite -AWESOME! Can't wait for the full version to get released!
2. Mini Squadron - Addictive fun little game! There is a lite version, so go try it!
3. Fruit Ninja - Not tried it yet, but it looks good.

Glyder 2: amazingly complex and involved for a free game. It looks simple at first, but once you realise what the challenges are and that fact that you don't need to complete one world to fly to another you see how deep it is. Excellent graphics and addictive gameplay. It's in the market

HAS anyone bought from the market? how does it work. i would like to buy some apps, but what hidden costs are there if i buy with my credit card, if pay for a 1 dollar game and then my bank charge me 20 bucks for the international transaction. who has done this?

It'll probably be the same as paying with PayPal or buying from any international online store... There's no "international transaction fees" that I know of.

I've purchased a few apps and you get charged the bank's buying exchange rate plus the international transaction cost of R10. I still prefer PayPal as my merchant account of choice, I just wish they had the Rand as a currency of trade to avoid the constant international transaction fee.

o crap really? so you pay the rand equivalent of the dollar price plus the banks bid/offer spread ;) then also pay a R10 transaction fee? they suck balls. the transaction fee is more than most apps. fnb now have a paypal partnership, maybe i can use that and not pay excessive fees.

It's SA for you, no wonder they didn't open the flood gates on the paid market. That's a pretty good idea with Paypal. Think they charge 10% on all cash transacted between your Paypal and FNB account though if I remember the charges correctly.

I must say, Fruit Ninja is a hellishly addictive game and a real bargain at R8! Bought it from the market and my credit card statement registered a R1 transaction fee with R7 for the game (which was listed as $0.99 in the market).

1 BUCK? THAT IS AWSESOM. so the transaction fee is not too big.
so then i will risk my credit crad
