Hi

Not sure if there is a thread for this. I love watching top documentaries and thought we could share some here.

I watched The day the dinosaurs died yesterday. I was completely blown away by it. The story telling, the science, the CGI, it was a perfect 10 out of 10 for me. At the end of the 45min i was left wanting so much more! They show the extinction event as it happened based on scientific research and drilling at the site where the asteroid hit.

Next i can mention The Vietnam War. Brilliant narration and history lesson, combined with footage from the war. Also at least a 9 / 10

I watched "The Long Shot" over the weekend

another example of corrupt policemen trying to put innocent people in jail

"The Untold History Of The United States" -documentary series consisting of 10 episodes.

I enjoyed the documentary "American Vandal"

Any David Attenborough shows, especially the new ones

Little Dieter Needs To Fly
The Fog of War
The Act of Killing
The Look of Silence
Restrepo
The Gatekeepers
Encounters at the End of the World
Man on Wire
Going Clear
Mea Maxima Culpa
Cave of Forgotten Dreams
Grizzly Man

Dunno if this qualify but The School Swap: Korea Style

Thanks! I downloaded and watched this. Fascinating. I am always a little skeptical when theories are described as 'controversial' (this doesn't apply to the entire show, just the one particular fossil site) so I'm off to look for corroborating evidence.

The enormity of the event really hits you when you watch this.

Yeah it was huge. They show the event impacting the globe in so much detail

It's remarkable how similar a meteor impact looks to a drop falling onto still water. Reminds you of the science of things.

Watched first episode of Savage Kingdom. Its about the large cats in Africa, really brutal and dark show. Not for the squeamish !

Not strictly documentary but Narcos and El Chapo are awesome to watch and they are very close to how things happened.

Also Mind Hunters on Netflix is a good insight in how the FBI started investigating cases they later called serial killers.

Another good one to watch is also Manhunt : Unabomber about Ted Kaczynski blowing people up. Also not a documentary but rather a factual miniseries which is awesome.
