Mustek Site Adware Redirect

Saw Mustek on Google Maps today, decided to have a look at their website. Went to Networking products and a new window opened with the products, the original one redirected me to the "You won blah blah blah" spam. Thought I had a virus and spent hours with virus scans. None found and went back to Mustek site directly and same thing happened. Using Opera as my browser. See the site is built with a Wordpress theme. Anyone else also experiencing this?

Yup. Click on any product category and it opens a background tab with some scammy ad site. Their site has malware.

Thanks for confirming. You would have thought that such a big tech company would know whats going on, but they have a wordpress template for their website/store. And now its scamming people. Wonder if there is a data leak as well?

Is Mustek part of the South African government all these wordpress themes going around these days

Then why do the other distributors deal with "pointless customers".

Obviously their websites and "active resellers" using this infected website are also not worth it.

Nobody using their website, not even themselves. Go figure.

Who still uses Telkom? Telkom discontinued our telephone lines ages ago, weve been on VOIP for years. Maybe Mustek also still sell pentium 4 CPUs?
