Afrihost Air Mobile dominates Capitec Connect, FNB Connect, Melon Mobile

Mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) offer South Africans an alternative channel to the country's major mobile network operators (MNOs), MTN, Vodacom, Telkom, and Cell C.

A MyBroadband analysis has revealed that Afrihost's Air Mobile offers the best pricing on data bundles and some of the best validity periods for said bundles.

It is me or are networks less stringent about deactivating inactive SIM cards? I never get those "you've been inactive..." SMSes anymore. We haven't had an article regarding this topic in eons @Jan.

Small correction: AirMobile bundles are valid until the end of the following month, I.e. up to 60 days, not a guaranteed 60 days.

I've been with them for a bit now, and the data prices are killer compared to what Capitec Connect was offering.

Would be nice to add the underlying MNO that provides the connectivity.
True. AFAIK VC doesn't have MNOs on its network, but I'm not going to put any money on it. If it is on MTN, here I am. On CC - go away. Still wonder why CC is all but useless while roaming on MTN.
