Okay I have one question.

I am quite sick and tired that I am always the host of any game I join my 5gig bw dont last and by mid month my cap is done.

I dont mind hosting 50% but 100% is a bit much.

Is there a way that I can maybe just skip every second game to host. (sitting out is not an option)

Any valid suggestions will be appreciated.

well, that 5gig cap sounds like a telkom do3 account, so u should get 30gigs of local BW when ur blended is done, so why not put that 30gigs to use and get urself a 1gig shaped account from WebAfrica or Axxess and setup urself Route Sentry, it will split your international traffic from your local and use the selected connection to go through,

so you'll be able to log into steam with your shaped account, go into the game, and then host with all of your local BW.
 
@Esea I have a 4meg line so I do not want to downgrade

I have an Afrihost account so no extra local.

The only problem is that its not always just Sa peeps but int peeps come on as well then I am back at square one.

Will the trafficsplitter app work also?

Is there a app out there that I can use to fool IWNET what my latency is?

What about setting up QoS rules on your ADSL modem for those ports used by MW2?
You can restrict the traffic then to a point that will enable you to play, but not host...

Yes. There are ways to not host, but we not telling you because we love hosts like you :p
 
Please PM me with a few ideas cause at this stage I am not enjoying it so I might move back to COD4 where it is local :)
 
Go download/pay for netlimiter. Very useful program and the 64 bit version is inb eta so it is free for a couple months.

limit the game to say 70kbs
