MW2 LAN?

I saw on one the loading screens while loading up a multiplayer map, that you can use private matches to set your own rules and play on a lan.

Now how can you lan if you can't even get into the multiplayer menu without being connected to Steam? I tried Steam in offline mode, but as soon as you click play, you get an error stating you need be signed in and online with Steam to play.

You can't.

You have to be connected to steam, full stop. Sucks I know.

dude im enjoying almost every min of MW2 and i will pay for an expansion.

They already confirmed two DLC Packs(which will contain more maps etc), and its free for PC.
