So I updated my display drivers and when I got back into the game all distant textures were screwed up... it was foggy and big black blobs in dark areas especially on the map with the aricraft crashed (Afghan i think) and the one with the rain... uninstalled the drivers and went back to 186.18 and it is fine again. Anyone else tried these drivers and had issues?

BTW - I am running dual 260GTXs in SLI...

How did your PC Crash? Was there any errors or did it BSOD? or did it just power down and up again?

I am having a similar problem with Cod 4 and Modern Warfare 2. After 5 minutes of gameplay my PC crashes. The game will only work fine on 1024x768. As soon as I turn up the resolution My PC Crashes. I can have all the other settings on Max.

Other games also work fine on max settings. Its just cod4 and Modern Warfare thats doing this....

I have a XFX GTX275

Edit. I am running Vista x64. Do you have a link for 186.18 drivers?

Well, I am still running the official 191.07 and it is working fine on win 7

Maybe because 195.39 is beta drivers????

I'm getting a very irritating LAG every minute or so while playing. Everything is running quite smoothly and then the game just freezes for a second or two. This happened in single player and now in multiplayer too. Can this also be driver related? Anyone else suffering from this? Win7 64bit RC1, 18x.xx nvidia drivers.

What graphics card and CPU do you have?

I had the same in SP. Although it couldve been driver related, which I didn't test, but what fixed it for me, was to set the textures from automatic to manual, and then set each setting to "High" (I think) and not on "Extra". It took away all of the freezing. But I loaded Win 7 yesterday, will install MW2 again and see what it does with the latest drivers on "Extra".

:)

Sorry, Asus 8800GT 512 & Q6600 not overclocked.

I've changed it from auto to manual and set everything on extra. Do you think that might be it? Framerate isn't an issue. Everything is probably running at 50+ fps when it is running smoothly.

It *might* be that yes. But I downloaded the newest official drivers for Win 7. Will install it when I go home now and report back. BTW, I also have a 8800GT :)

WOOT, fixed!! :D:DThanks, Stonecold. I first downloaded the latest 191.xx drivers. Tried the game, it was better, but still a lag every now and then. Then I checked my texture settings and it was set to "extra". Set everything back to "high" and played for 4 hour without a hitch. Even when hosting 12 player games.
