Hey

I might want to get MW2 to play online, but my ADSL is only 384k. Will I be able to play it online, or just not worth it on that speed? Meh @ Telkom for expensive lines

w

dude, I manage play with a 40% iBurst connection, I never get over 20kB/s on it. And its very inconsistant!! But I still get some good play!

If you can get a friends pc hook it up to your line and see how it fly or crawl......

I reckon that will be the cheap way out.

I have a 384Kbs and it works fine. Although you will not be able to host any games.

I play on a 384, and trust me, no problems...

Now and then there might be a bit of lag, but overall - no issues.

I play on a 384 without any probs, just be sure to not let the game keep on searching for games when the ping begins to reach more than 80 to 100. Just stop and do a re-search.

And if the game lags then the host most likely doesn't have a 4meg line.

Does that work for you crazy? I will try that, because i usually let it run to about 140... But then i struggle my arse off to get a decent kill/death ratio!

I am 67 at the moment.

The other day I was in a lobby with like 8 ZA players and we where matched up with Russians and it chose a Russian host. IW fail yet again!

I do the same as crazy.

Mmm interesting feedback guys thanks.

How is the multiplayer learning curve? Does it match up against skill or not? Does any new player stand a chance or will it be as motherfathering frustrating as joining something like CS if you are new to it ie doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell...

If there are a lot of players in the lobby trying to find the same game type Eg. TDM the match making will work and match you up with players similar to your rank, but sometime there are few players then you end up playing with experienced players and get owned.

Also if you invited by friends you could be matched up with players of any rank. The game could go either way.

With the learning curve, its not much. Its a FPS game. It isn't like Dota where you have to learn every single item in the game. When you begin you are given guns and perks that are sufficient to kill them all! :p
