Anyone using the Mweb 16Mbit Business uncapped ADSL (R9999/m)? What are your thoughts on its stability, etc?

Here is what I'm getting on 8MB Bonded ADSL through Mweb.

I would stay away from MWEB's bonded solutions. We had been running those for over a year and threw it out in August. If it was not issues at the exchange or ADSL lines then they had issues with their device which used to lock up every few days. Business support was ridiculous. MWEB was very quick to throw the ball into Telkom's court and then an endless back and forth ensued.

We eventually switched to Neotel Fibre (20MB) and pay about 12K/p.m. Neotel does have it's occasional problems, but typically fallback to Neotel Wimax gets us through any downtime (about once a month they run into a core-switching issue which seems to affect mostly the Bryanston area).

Interesting. We have 2 Neotel layer2 circuits, and well in the last 3 years we've had 1 outage only on one line, for less than 15 minutes. Both lines are in Cape Town.

Hi snobee,

Please provide me with your contact details and I'll arrange for a Business consultant to contact you.

My throughput on Mweb 16Mbps (4x4 bonded) at the office ...

You just need to watch that all your DSL lines are performing properly, if any of them go dodgy, it degrades the whole bonded bundle.

Thanks guys for all the comments.

@magicdude. I did try Neotel, unfortunately they couldn't provide a solution. We are 2Km from their closest fibre option, which is what I really wanted from them.

@Roman. Thanks for that input. I have chatted to a few people now, including the Vox Fishbonders, and it seems that line stability is pretty important with these devices.

I have actually decided to upgrade our wan load balancer instead.
