sup guys. im thinking about getting 1mb premium from mweb for gaming. worth it?
 
No Mweb sucks, go WA or AF and save a lot of money I had the Afrihost 2mb + line bunddle and it works out less than mweb
 
stay away from mweb 1mb premium uncapped. there are better options out there.

i just canned mine. long overdue!!

I applied for M-WEB's "Try before you buy option" a few weeks back. You get a free uncapped account for a week to try. I have a 2MB line.

Anyways, I downloaded 18GB in that week. Performance? Exactly the same as Axxess, WebAfrica ( Gaming )

So the salesman calls me after a week saying, "Oh Mr. I see you tested our package. You downloaded a lot né? 18GB"

I'm like, "Ja shot"

He tells me the 2MB line uncapped has a 70GB throttle limit. Price - R199 p/m

I'm like, "Mmmm.... Axxess has 60GB capped for R129 p/m"... & WebAfrica is R199 p/m for 60GB daytime & 240GB midnight surfer.

M-WEB sales rep couldn't answer me. He just kept quiet. Couldn't tell me why they're so expensive.

I said thank you & hung up the phone.

tl;dr M-WEB is a ripoff. Go with WebAfrica or one of the other ISP's.
 
Mweb is the Thugs of the ISP world and Openweb the corner pushers selling you lased stuff. Cocaine with baby powder
 
I want uncapped though. Mostly play lol, hon and dota. Might start CS and cod though

Rather get 2Mbps Standard, same price except 30GB lower threshold. The only difference between Standard and Premium is thresholds.

Honestly the word "Premium" and 1mbps should never ever be in the same sentence lol

i know this is an unpopular opinion but I've been with Telkom for 10 Years and its mostly been good. No issues with speed (currently on 2mbps)

With that line speed try out mweb with their trial. If it works, good. Else you're going to have to try Web Africa Business.
Don't touch Web Africa's home accounts.
