2Mbps is mostly too slow for 2018 internet usage patterns. The company’s month-to-month uncapped pricing starts at R79 for a 2Mbps service.

Even 4Mbps is probably too slow for HD live streaming.
Netflix recommends a minimum of 5Mbps for HD real time streaming.
Does MWEB still have their insane throttling policy on uncapped?
I remember the Great Purge of Mweb throttling, they lost a lot of customers.

Yup.
I doubt I'll ever use them again...
What happened there?
I've just signed up for this, and I'm already starting to see some issues which are of concern to me.
The first thing is Debit Order Only, no Credit Card payment option.
The second, and biggest issue, is there is no way to submit cancellation notice online. If I try, I just get an error. Called them up, and was told I could only submit my cancellation by phoning them.
I think I might just ask them to terminate the whole thing on from day 1.
I'm currently shopping around for a Vox alternative, but I don't think it's going to be them.![]()
Holy moly.. Phoning to cancel? Deal Breaker
Debit Order only ? Deal Breaker x 2
Just submit my cancellation by phone. Hope it goes through. I'm told it's immediate if sumbmitted within the "Free Period".
Good luck!
MWEB highlighted that the free period applies for 60 days from date of sign up, and that cancellations are subject to a calendar month’s notice
Thanks. They kept asking me why I was cancelling, so I explained it was because of their cancellation policy.
Told them I'd rather give cancellation notice now, and revoke later if I'm happy with the service.
Apparently that's not an option, cancellation is immediate in my case.
:erm:
Whatever I guess. lol
