Mweb 2Mb uncapped not performing well

Was hoping you could help. My 2Mb uncapped account is running at 0.7Mbps... my openweb runs perfectly. I have a 4Mb Telkom line.

Nope cant be, only used 1.5Gb

You having the same problem I had.
When I was on 1 mbit, Mweb was great, I used to always get 1 mbit.
Then telkom upgraded us to 2 mbit and I contacted Mweb to upgrade me and they said they did, cost R369 pm now
However I never saw better than 94 KB/sec, complained like hell, was told my PC is not setup properly, modem was wrong, Telkom's fault, blah blah blah...
Then in early December Telkom upgraded us to 4 mbit, contacted Mweb and they put me on the 4 mbit premium packaged for R539 pm
Still my downloads very rarely exceeded 95 Kb/sec.
So I got a temp connection with AfriHost... BINGO.... 407 KB/sec all the time.
After 11 years with Mweb, they still treat you like something the dog brought in.

Did you ever get feedback? I found that MWEB and other big ISP's tend to not play open cards and prefer PM/email to try and put a lid on something ugly so their image won't be spoiled.

If you're still struggling, open up a Web Africa 5GB Free Trial, I'm very happy with it currently. Much better than Afrihost or MWEB
