MWEB 384 Uncapped feedback

I got throttled on my afrihost uncapped 384 account cause i used up more then 10Gb of data.

Can the guys on Mweb 384 uncapped please let me know what your line speeds are like (speedtest) and how much data you have used already.

I am keen to make the move to Mweb, but don't want to have a repeat of the experience with afrihost, where basically my account becomes unusable and i have to resport to a capped account for basic browsing.

Lol, yeah, i already know my afrihost account has been rendered useless. Mweb feedback please guys.
 
Well ive done about 9gb so far on mweb. RS is throttled to hell, havent tried p2p. I dl from some other hosting sites at full speed. Speedtest also full speed. Browsing is full speed always
 
It looks like MWEB is throttling during the day, you can view pages but don't try torrents etc. I am talking dialup speeds. Your speed will return to normal from 6pm until the next morning at 8am, irrespective of the day (Saturdays and Sundays included)
 
As long as normal Http browsing is not affected during the day thats great.
 
I would not say MWEB throttle at all, but shape more aggressively during the day. Throttling is what Afrihost are completely unfairly doing.
I have access to a Afrihost and MWEB uncapped account right now, and last night I was getting just over 200kbps on MWEB on RS.
Browsing and e-mail on MWEB always ok though.
My Afrihost has not been throttled yet, and I am over 10GB, but I only converted to Uncapped from a 10GB account after 1 April, so I am wondering if people like me are not confusing the system this month, and we will be in the same boat next month.

@lariato : did you by any chance change to uncapped on or after 1 April?

Edit : MWeb RS currently going at 100kbps, but I do not usually download anything on weekdays anyhow.

My 10GB line is full on the clientzone, but my Uncapped 384 line is still blank.
To be honest, I would be happy to pay R290 for this scenario every month.

Go to data usage on your uncapped. you'll see graphs of where and when and how much you have downloaded. Over the 12.5 days i was allowed to download, i average at 11k!

Yup! Nothing works now. went from latest speeds of 25k to 3k constant. Everything is dead!

It is in line with the way they treat the 4meg users, but they haven't "officially" announced it. The theory is applied, but it's still not fair. I'm gonna quit my yelping now, cause i had the choice to join, and i've excercised my choice to quit.

Update: By the way, i was with Afrihost, and am going to Mweb. Just in case there is some confusion. (Sorry. Stopped smoking today)

That would be breach of contract - same as Afrihost

To be fair i won't say that you get capped at 15Gb's. You get throttled from 10Gb's. The account still works, but really really slow, which kind of renders it useless.

If you are talking about Afrihost please state that.

i agree, these guys giving me a headache with these afrihost post in the mweb thread :(

i had to check the thread title to make sure i was in the right thread !
