MWEB 384 uncapped recent issues

Last few days i have been having issues with Mweb 384 uncapped.

Regularly, pages are not able to load. Its like i lose connection completely. After a while, its back to normal, and then a again pages dont load. The cycle repeats itself over and over.

I disconnect, then struggle to get PPPoE connection.

Anyone else having similar issues? Any possible solutions?
 
Did you perhaps buy a new phone, or some other equipment that plugs into your telephone line? I noticed since we bought a cordless phone set, whenever someone uses the phone the internet cuts out (unable to load pages, but connection stays active), and then about a minute later it gets back to normal. If I terminate the ADSL connection within that 1 minute, it takes about 3 minutes to reestablish a connection.
 
Nope, no new phones or any other equipment.

Speed also seems to have gone down a bit.

This is usually caused by the micro filter for the phone line not being installed. Very common issue.

Yeah, was thinking that could be the only reason...strange that the old phone didn't cause the same problem. Any idea if Telkom shops stock micro filters? Or should I expect a blank stare when I asked the assistant for one?

I was in there recently and they had plenty +/- R40 I think.
 
I dont have the issues with the filter. Had my filters connected for a long time now.

As i was browsing to this thread, i had the issue again. Got an error saying the mybroadband server cannot be found. Tried some other pages same message. 5 minutes later all back to normal like nothing happend?

Is this a telkom issue or Mweb issue. Really need to contact somebody about this, its happening too often and is really irritating.

Two calls to Mweb and one call to telkom (total on the phone for all 3 calls about 45 mins), it appears there is a fault on the line.

Fault has been logged, reference number is in hand. Now we wait.
