Mweb 4Mb connection keeps on dropping

Hi,

I have a 4Mb business uncapped account with a static IP. However the connection keeps dropping and it loses internet for a few min. It would then reconnect by itself. This seems to happen often (every hour or two) and I have never had similar problems with other ISP's.

Also because it it is a static IP I cannot have a look into the router setup. This is all control by Mweb remotely. Any suggestions on what could cause this? Telkom, Mweb?

Your router/modem should have them. Look for statistics on the routerlogin

As said in my original post. It is a static IP account so Mweb sends you a pre-configured router. They do not allow you access to the router. Whenever you want to make a change you have to phone them and they do it remotely. Even to change you wifi password.
