Hi All

I am wanting to cancel my mweb account before the end of the month so I dont get billed (as i am moving). I phoned one of the retail branches and they indicated that i need to email [email protected]. I then went on to email them querying the process (as technically i have paid for this month so i would only like my service to then). Its been 3 days and I still have not heard back from mweb. Every time I attempt to phone billing and account info, im like 50 in line or something along those lines. Does anyone have the clear cut process I need to take (Cannot understand why this process simply cannot be done through the account user panel on the mweb web page, unless I missed the link there, which is possible). Any help would be appreciated!

They haven't replied to my email yet as well! Instead i got some stupid advert and posts ignored from mweb guy! Shocking

Evening Curryboy

I would like to look further into this from our side. Please can you PM me the reference number you received from the mail you sent so that I can have our team look into it.

Also try [email protected], I seem to recall some such technically for someone I know at some stage (although the call center guy might have suggested .com when it should have been .co.za).

Good luck though, it's not easy to cancel your MWeb account. My father-in-law was billed for 3 months more after sending his cancellation request, because he failed to send stuff that they never requested. So my suggestion to you would be to stay on their case until you no longer get billed from them. And they'll probably bill you and give some rubbish like the above that they never received the correct document at the correct email. And then promptly refuse to refund you.

Also, at that time (probably about a year ago), there wasn't any way to cancel your account online. I reckon it's because MWeb knows they'll be bleeding customers if it were easy to leave....

Still no reply, service quite bad hmm.

Send them a mail. Its as good as gold in court. Put a stop order on the account ... MWOPS will give you the whole advanced billing story and bill you for another month or two if they can .... These guys dont know their sphincter from their cubitas ....

I once send an E-mail to [email protected], or what ever the general information email address was. I sent it on a Wednesday and only got a response on the Tuesday the following week. It would probably be faster to call the billing department. When I called, it took me 20 minutes to solve my issue.

Just remember that there is a 30 day cancelation period thing. So you should try and get the process started as soon as possible.

Send them messages on all communications networks. Pm twitter. Facebook. Hellopeter. Email. If you can go to a mweb store then do that. Good luck.

MWeb is like the SABC. You are most of the time just f@rting against thunder.

Good luck.

I tried looking for the cancelation form however it gives me subscription form. I am really tired of trying to contact mweb
