Mweb ADSL packages - indepth look

hello all,

im hoping i can get an understanding to how this works here...

firstly, im on Mweb 1MB Premium, somehow... when i requested to be on 2MB standard....
so far ive gathered that the Standard vs premium is the threshold in which the throttling activates.
but i cannot find any information on what speeds they are throttling at.

why am i asking this?
because if i am on 1Mb and i get throttled to 0.5Mb and the 2GB std allows me 1Mb throttled out of TH
i might else well be on the 2GB standard package.
but then if what if 2Mb premium has a higher out of TH speed, then maybe id take that?

but i cant make any decisions because the lack of information provided by mweb.

1Mb Premium - 100GB
2MB Standard - 70GB
2MB Premium - 200Gb

1Mb Premium - 100kbps / (havent reached my threshold yet)
2MB Standard - ???
2MB Premium - ???

i only download heavy at night, the browsing is terribly slow during the day, weak connection,
i have to keep refreshing web pages....

its time for a new ISP but i need to know this so i can compare it with other ISP's.

OK, i finally got an answer on one.

Downlod Speeds In/Out Threshold
1Mb Premium - 1Mbps / 384kbps
2MB Standard -2Mbps / 384kbps
2MB Premium - ???

so a user with 2Mbps will reach reach their threshold after 83h 30m (3 and half days)
and 1 Mbps user after 238h 36m (9days)
and if a user with 2Mbps downloads 100gb with the threshold it will take 269hrs (11days)

theres 720 hours in a 30day month.
19 Day Threshold Data on 1Mbps*P - 3.8GB's day @ 384Kbps x 19 = 72.2GB
21 Day Threshold Data on 2Mbps*S - 3.8GB's day @ 384Kbps x 21 = 79.8GB

So if I calculated this correctly, in 30Days, a 1Mbps premium user will download a max of 172.2GB and a 2Mbps user max 179.8GB

This calculations do not cater for the shaping
and it is assumed your line is downloading @ Full speed for 24hrs non stop.
