mweb adsl

Hello everyone,
I hope someone can help here.Ive just had my uncapped mweb activated but cannot connect my phone and internet at the same time through my splitter it seems as if this is an mweb issue.Can anyone offer a solution as mweb dont seem to have an answer.

That doesn't sound like an Mweb problem. Did you have an ADSL account previously? If that worked, how could MWEB cause your phone to not work? :confused:
 
Acceptable Usage Policy: If you have ADSL, you may not use your telephone?! << LOL

RAY01: does your splitter have both ADSL and Telephone labels for the 2x RJ11 sockets? Because you also get splitters with 2x Telephone labels, which will NOT work!
If you have the former, I'd suggest that you get a new splitter/filter from Telkom (I bought mine for like R48).

Here's how an ADSL splitter/filter setup should look (of course you can do with a much simplified one if you only have 1 telephone and 1 modem):

         └─[ <──Splitter filter=╦=ADSL socket[ <──ADSL modem

... a simplified one:

                          ╚=Tel socket [ <──Telephone
 
Thanks for the help im a newbie and plugged the phone in wrong socket,thanks Pada all sorted out as per your advice.
