Mweb Billing Incompetence!

Collected my morning mail and got 2 surprises; First apparently I owe R199 to Mweb. I canceled my Mweb account and moved over to Afrihost back in April. I was paying on debit order for 2 accounts, but for some reason this one account was not debited. You'd think that's Mweb's mistake for not running the debit order. I thought so too.

Second surprise, the way I received it is via permit mail from to say I've been handed over to ITC by Mweb for failure to pay my account AND I will be held responsible for the additional costs. This is where my humor got lost. They have my email address, they have my phone number. Nowhere I have been informed I owe anything, and by the time I receive the snail mail I've already been blacklisted for what is Mweb's failure to do the debit order.

Will@Mweb and the other representatives, I'd love to hear how this happens. Secondly, I don't even have Mweb's banking details since it was run with a debit order. Can someone please provide it - googling didn't bring up anything.

What I am going to do:
Step 1: Make payment to Mweb and send PoP to their accounts email
Step 2: Refuse to make any additional ITC Payment
Step 3: Wait
Step 4: If they don't remove me from the ITC I will make it part of my morning routine to spam every single social media network on how Mweb will ruin your life, and how being a customer of Mweb's you support in their murder of puppies and kittens. If it goes on for more than a month I will make a dedicated website to enthrone the internet with the incompetence that is Mweb billing.

Let's see how this pans out...

I sincerely hope this does not affect the clients credit record? Can you confirm this MWEB Guy?
 
Well, the fact that MWEB Guy did not even respond again is a clear indication of their attitude.
 
I have a similar run in with Mweb, personal and business matter though, still ongoing.

@Brenden_E request all communication via email until the matter is sorted.
 
Mweb reps, still not a word. No one replied on my email to your accounts department either.
 
Find it quite funny, that MWEB GUY is quick to provide banking details instead of first trying to get to the bottom of the screw up. Then IF money is in fact owed then ask for payment or better yet, write it off due to the apparent lack of customer service communication from MWEB's side.

But that is me with my silly sense of humour.

Quite true actually. He also take take a two day break before responding again. So glad I left MWEB. Now of a few friends that are finishing off this month as well. Looks like they are going to Afrihost.
 
Business it seems at MWEB is very very good. Screw silly ex-customers like Brendan_E LOL
 
Just got a call from Mweb. They deleted my banking details from the system before doing the final debit. So as suspected, an error on their side leads to me being blacklisted without my knowledge.

Asked for written confirmation once I have been removed from ITC's blacklist.
What kind of business practice is this anyway? Jeesh...
