Mweb billing?

I signed up with Mweb on the 5th of May for 4mbps uncapped data only (R539 pm), just got an invoice today for R1008.45?

It says under date to : 30/06/10

Does that mean its billed me for both May & June?

Ps. I've written this post while being on hold to MWEB, still no pick up

Yes, that's how they work. You pay in advance. So the first billing is the month that you've already had (May - prorata, I think) and the month you are about to have (June).

The next payment (end June) will cover your July charge. And so on.

Yup 100% correct unless you paid may's invoice upfront which i doubt.

Yeah just thought the amount was a bit odd but it seems that is the case.

I didn't read any fine-print.
I didn't even ask the tele-sales.

The tele-sales actually told me that all by himself.

Funny part is: I knew it before he even told me.
