So my wonderful netgear router decided to die. I have thus been forced to use the billion router that came with my Mweb account.
Besides the fact that its locked to mweb
it also goes through phases where it gets a large amount of CRC errors and surfing is almost impossible.
This usually happens when the modem is restarted for some or other reason or it looses connection and I have to reconnect. After the first few connection attempts it continues to get these CRC error. I just continue to reset the router and eventually after a couple of reconnects the CRC errors dissappear. It works 100% after that.
Its really anoying since the router takes forever to boot up I i need to sit there restarting it till the CRC errors disappear. I have to go through this everytime the power trips/connection randomly drops/the maid pulls out the plug.
I've seen people complaining about CRC errors on the billion routers, but this seems very random to me. My trusty netgear never had these issues.
