Hi guys

I got the 100GB Daytime + 100GB Nightime package.

Problem at the moment they just how bandwidth used per date, and not per date and which cap it rolled up to.
Any one know how to see this, my bandwidth usage for last night is not adding up.

Would you mind rephrasing that please?

My package is 100GB day time + 100GB night time.
I'm being told I used 20GB for the 1st June.
I got torrent downloads, but it's scheduled to run at limited (250Kbps) bandwidth from 22:00 - 00:00 (which will roll up to day time usage).

It then got into full speed at 00:00 - 06:00, this would have rolled up to today's night time usage.

At the moment they just showing total used for the date, not bandwidth usage per which of the 2 caps.

The totals used does not match what I know I've been doing.

Hi georgelza, please PM me your MWEB account info so that I can look into this for you.

Thanks for providing me the account details via private messaging.

We will continue to test and provide further feedback tomorrow.

have a good evening ;)

Can confirm, MWEBHelp got in touch, we're enabling logging to see whats happening,

My biggest thing, I'm most probably not contesting the bandwidth having been used, but rather towards which cap it rolled up to and the gap in the online usage report, that does not show daily/normal usage and night time usage splits per day/date.

It also seems that if a session is started before 0:00 but runs till 06:00 next day then all the bandwidth is rolled up into day time usage, :( instead of just that used till 0:00 and then the 00:00-06:00 rolls up to night time cap.

Well there is pay back, will have to check, if that rule applies then anything started after 0:00 but finishing after 06:00 should also only roll up to night time...

need to investigate and confirm findings.

Hi georgelza, we're still looking into this for you. Following our conversation via PM, I mentioned that the usage should be provided to you via My account as day and night time cap.If you log onto My account and select ADSL (under my services), it should give you the standard and night time usage.

Have you managed to log onto My Account to check since?

Hi MWEBHelp, it does give you that, but that as a total for the month, I want that view but for the day view, for each day, say if you select show me info for June, I want to see the numbers for the 1st and the 2nd.

We display monthly usage on MyAccount, it shows night time and day time separate. There is currently no option for a daily view per data option. Thanks for your suggested feedback.

not been having a nice time (at this speed I'm not going to be a MWEB customer for long), been stuck on a useless 2Mbps since Friday :( paying for a 10Mbps line.

Hi

I checked your account and from what I see you have a data only account with us.
I did test the line though and it is syncing at 2.5mbps at the moment.

I'd advise that you contact the provider who manages your line to have a line fault logged for you.
They would need to investigate why the sync speed has dropped to 2.5mps.

Hi MWEb help.

I joined MWEB last Saturday (28th), and also submitted the papers to Telkom to Release and transfer the line. First week, Saturday/Wednesday evening worked at 10Mbps.

Thursday approx 15:00, had a Telkom rep phone me, trying to do customer retention, instructed them to release line as requested/paper work.

Seems they decided to be petty an downgrade me to 2Mbps, for the final stretch as they let me wait, until line is released.
Spoke to MWEB rep... he also (earlier this morning) instructed me to phone Telkom...

I got better chance of getting pregnant than to get Telkom to restore my 10Mbps as they have no reason to help me anymore.

To quote your signature:

You Have The Obligation to Inform One Honestly of the risk

Correct. Mweb should have informed you that the line is downgraded briefly to 2Mbps if they don't take the line quickly enough from the holding pool. Once they grab the line from the holding pool they must submit a regrade order back to 10Mbps...

You Are Committed to Educate Yourself to the Total Risk In Any Activity!

So, in this case, this was the risk you should have asked about...;)

Hmmm,

Interesting... even after my chat to the MWEB rep this morning and the response above, this is the first I hear about this Telkom downgrade if the line is not picked up quick enough from the holding pool.

I did ask how long it was suppose to take. was not aware that I should have been worried about this "holding pool/downgrade to Mbps" situation. Thanks for the info. so now wonder when was the line released.

G

It seems the line has not been released yet...
So telkom downgraded me, with no reason it seems.

G

Let me know as soon as you receive confirmation from Telkom that the line has been released.
I will then arrange for a consultant to call you to process the migration.

Little update for everyone...

It seems Telkom has not done anything, or well thats arguable...
My line as downgraded for no apparent reason to 2Mbps, but it is not in the holding pool either.
Telkom accounts don't know about any of m instructions/requests.
And asking to be put trough to services, ye well, a call transfer at telkom just end in one big black hole where no one answers.
and oh, they happily deducted/collected the full amount this morning.
