Mweb Capped account P2P Ports blocked ?

Hi Guys,
Are anyone using P2P ports or software on mweb capped accounts... it blocks all my P2P ports... i thought this is a process used on uncapped lines... and not on capped lines... (Unthrottled and unshaped?)
 
MWeb doesn't block any ports on any of their products.
 
thats what i dont understand... i did a scan to most popular p2p ports from whatsmyip.org all the ports closed except port 6888 which is a bittorrent port... restarted router now and all ports blocked :/

P2P Should not be blocked.
 
Update....

Connect with mweb 50gig account.... 2 kBps download... if it even starts
Connect with afrihost 75gig account 998 kBps download..

Same settings... P2P broken ? not even with mweb for 5 hours and its screwed up ????
 
And like clockwork at 12 o clock my speed jumps up too 800+kBps.... so tell me why this shaping is happening on the daytime usage ?
 
MWEB has been shaping like it's going out of fashion. No point to even attempt a download outside of 00:00 - 06:00 window.
 
im on an capped account.. shaping shouldnt happen... and im not downloading... my cctv runs on ports similar to p2p ports... i cant view my cameras remotely during that time
 
i just signed up with mweb.. mooved from afrihost... i dont download much but i need my p2p to work for security purposes.. or il can them sooooo quick
 
Capped accounts are also subject to shaping Francois.

What I will be looking into is the issue with the viewing of the cameras.

The p2p issue is subject to network shaping.

P2P and torrents receive the lowest priority on our network and therefore we will allocate less bandwidth to the specific protocol.

The clients connecting to the network, will then contend for the bandwidth allocated to the protocol.

If there is an increase of clients demand for that specific protocol, it means that the general speeds contended for will be slower.

I mention this as it is school holidays and therefore the demand for the lower priority traffic tends to increase.
 
Postman that is just a bit outside my budget. I dont download a lot of P2P stuff at all, I game and stream and every now and then i have to log into home automation systems where sadly its being blocked on mweb also... So the Unshaped and Unthrottled service sold to me is not that.... I think il just cancel and carry on with afrihost capped account for now...

Are you using a home CCTV system, or do you implement them in others' houses?

In either case, you should be able to afford business-level internet.
