Good day,

Got an uncapped account on the 24th October 2012, cancelled (without signing anything) on the 25th October 2012.

On the 31st January 2013, R449.35 was deducted from my account by MWEB INTERNET.

On the 5th of February, I contacted [email protected].

On the 11th February, Billing replied and said they forwarded it to [email protected]

To this day, I still have not heard any feedback....

R450 is still a lot of money!

I just find it funny that companies are super efficient when creating debit orders. But when it is cancellations, its just impossible for them to cancel without grabbing 1 or 2 extra payments

What is the procedure when cancelling with MWEB? Your account gets paid in advance, so if I wish to cancel today, I dont have to pay on 01/03 again, right?

Since the account runs for another 30 days then you pay once more for the last month.

Suerly not if you pay in advance? If I dont pay for March, my service stops and I can rather pay new ISP.

Contact your bank, have them reverse it, tell them it wasn't authorized.

Isn't there a way to force banks to stop honoring some debit orders. It appears too many ppl fall into this trap where banks will continue to process debit orders for cancelled services.

You can instruct the bank to stop it.

Load a stop payment in internet banking. Just make sure you have the correct date and exact amount.
