wont authenticate pppoe dail in
had to put my details within the router and even now while i type the connection keeps dropping .........

Just accessed it from work and nothing wrong to be found even the e-mail works...
 
whats the difference between having the account details within the router and having a pppoe dail in connection as mweb got me to select pppoe as the encapulation so how can one work and the other not work i mean they both pppoe , also the person i spoke to yesterday said that its not [email protected] its [email protected] um huh?
 
just phoned them again and now they got a sms thingie to tell us when it is fixed i mean they said they going to sms me when its fixed ... an sms service ... is that new? i mean if they just got that now after this problem thennnnnn this might take a whileeeeeeee
 
WTF?
We have never had a problem with our MWEB connection since the beginning of the year and even before that it was only the Telkom connection issues with the Storms we had... BTW it's in PTA.

Do you know how to setup a router?

They are correct u have 2 use PPOE Authentication and
your username IN THE ROUTER must be [email protected], along with your password etc.

Read the manual or follow the CD if it is an Mweb Branded router.
 
i setup the router as they told me on the phone

and they have admitted that there is a problem with the pppoe authentication to me on the phone in 3 seperate calls.
