Mweb download speeds

Hi guys/girsl

Well i had my line migrated from Telkom over to Mweb 4mb uncapped.. the hole process completed today..me being on a 4mb line and with Mweb now..i tried to download a patch for one of my games and the dowload speed was dropping from 500kbps down to 123kbps a.v.g... so i randomly went on google and searched a big free file to download just to check..and nope still 119-128kbps download speeds..

Im sure i shouldnt be getting that on a 4mb line..

So does anyone know what could be going on?or someone that maybe had this problem..

Hi djbrendan

I have checked your account and line and everything looks good.
I reauthed your account now. Allow 30 minutes for this to complete then restart your router and test.
 
ok i restarted my router and checked if nothing els is running still get download speed of 130kbps-145kbps now .. and did a speedtest.net and got 2mb :/

 
PLUS! ... When i was on you Mweb's 1mb line uncapped i got greate speeds! same download speeds as the 4mb :/

i Know theres probably minor problem..but would like to get what im paying for.. people i know get 430kbps download speed and are further away from Telkom head central .. So please :)

Well the game patch runs in steam?haha and not sure where the other file i found..was a free old movie..
atm im downloading through Youtube Downloader..with my 1mb line i downloaded at 129kbps..now with the 4mb its only downloading at 139kbps..

what should my download speed be?..
 
Legit trusted site download and pirate downloads..i've tested on both now,speed keeps droping down to 129kbps

Are you only experiencing this when downloading? Are the general browsing speeds fine? Do you have another account in order to test if you are getting the same results with that account?
 
In any order of downloading or updating..i get those speeds..browsing isnt bad but sometimes slugish..

No i only have this account ..if thats what the qeastion was directed to?
 
Ouch!..well the speeds im getting are similar to the 1mb line i had :/ ...so lets hope the get my line up to the speed it should be..cause diablo 3 is out soon!

I have logged with with our Technical Specialists and they will contact you. I have provided them the information you have supplied as well.
